First and Probably Last Fished the Spillway yesterday afternoon and had something happen to me that has never happened before and probably won't happen again. My dad and I were throwing PopR's and catching quite a few small fish right before dark. Fish were really feeding. We caught 7 or 8 off of one tree. These two fish both hit at the same time. Didn't much matter that these two (or any other ones) were keepers, catching any fish on topwater is a kick in the pants.

KNOW THE FEELING This happen to me about 10 yrs ago and I remember it like yesterday. It was down in South Miami in the marsh in Pecan Island. I came upon this duck pond and the little bass were feeding like I've never seen before, I had 6 doubles that day, they were only about 10 inches long but still fun as heck to set the hook. I was catching them on a bream color baby spook. ended up with my limit of 10, but i bet you i caught 150 total, in about 2 hours.

Nice. That's happened to me only once, JB. It was years ago when I was fishing one of the gazillion lakes (think is was Lake Marion) near Orlando, Fla., during a writers convention. Had two 2-pound bass grab my topwater. It was awesome.
I guess it's sorta like when you are in schools of feeding reds, hook a fish and have other reds trying to get the lure out of the first fish's mouth.
