Oilman's Saltwater Championship (OSC)
Please join us July 31st for 2 days of fishing at Calcasieu Point. Saturday evening social at L’Auberge du Lac. There will be awards, door prizes, food & drinks. Rodeo Rules
Weigh In Schedule:
All teams must weigh in at Calcasieu Point Landing to be eligible for payouts.
Thursday July 29th 2:00pm – 6:00pm REGISTRATION
Friday, July 30th 2PM to 5PM
Saturday. July 31st 2PM – 6PM
1. Fishing is open to ALL LOUISIANA PUBLIC WATERS
2. All fisherman must be directly employed in the oil and gas industry to participate.
3. Competition Begins @ 12:01 a.m. Friday July 30th.
4. Contestants must be in accordance with state and federal regulations along with tournament rules, also all participants must possess all appropriate Louisiana State fishing licenses.
5. All fish are subject to autopsy. No frozen fish will be accepted. Any attempt to defraud or cheat in the championships will automatically disqualify the offender and all his/her fish.
6. Ties will be broken by the first fish entered.
7. Decisions by the WEIGHMASTER ARE FINAL!!!
8. All fish which do not make the board will be returned to the fisherman.
9. Registrant may place any amount of fish in any category.
10. Boats - Each team can use as many boats as they wish as long as they do not go over the allotted # of fisherman for their team sponsorship.
11. Safety - The OSC takes its rules and guidelines very serious. Each angler is an important guest and valued asset to our tournament. Please make sure that you follow all coast guard regulations. Be sure to know your limit in respect to drinking alcohol.
12. Tackle - Artificial or live bait is allowed for the tournament. Trolling is also permitted. Only rod and reel set up is allowed.
Fishing Hours: Fishing will begin at 12:01 a.m., Friday, July 30th and conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31st. Please make sure that your team understands these tournament rules. Tournament will have a 3rd party weigh master to oversee Scales and weigh in procedures.
Door Prizes: Door prizes will be available for Fisherman and their families
Silent Auction Items: Any person ( Fisherman or Guest can purchase live auction items)
Calcutta Rules:
There will be a Calcutta for Speckled Trout and Rat Reds in the Inshore Div. and a Calcutta for Snapper and King Mackerel in the Bluewater Div.
The Calcutta sign up will be on Thursday June 17th during REGISTRATION.
Guest Passes: $20 per guest passes are available for purchase for each team. Guests are allowed to eat, drink and mingle at the event. Each guest will be a representative of your company and will be help responsible for his/her actions.
