Bassmaster Elite Series
The Louisiana boys are representing well at the Bassmaster Elite Series's California Delta stop after the first day.

Dennis Tietje is currently in fifth place with 15-4, Greg Hackney is in 12th with 14-14, Jeff Connella in in 24th with 13-5 and Cliff Crochet is in 43rd with 7-6.

Those are all great starts, considering they're competing against the very best 90 or so anglers in the world.

They continue fishing through Sunday.

I just texted Cliff a few minutes ago. He seems to be staying positive. It's still anybody's game at this point. No one really ran away with it on the first day. And things can change alot with a couple good bites in California. His words "I'm gonna try like hell tomorrow"
