| Anacoco Lake is located just west of Leesville La., and is south of La. Hwy. 8. The lake was created in 1951, when a dam was built across Anacoco Bayou. After the dam was completed the lake was stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish. The impoundment is approximately 2,600 acres in size. | ||

| Bundick Lake is located off of Hwy. 394, southeast of DeRidder and north of Dry Creek La. It is approximately 1,500 acres in size. The upper portion of the lake contains dead timber and stumps. Commercial camping sites are located near the dam. | ||

| Beginning in the hills west of Alexandria, the Calcasieu River with its tributaries, bayous and creeks winds its way south into Calcasieu Lake. The area south of Hwy. 113 to Hwy. 190 in Rapides and Allen Parishes is designated as a natural and scenic river and provides excellent floating and fishing. The water is clear and moderately swift with a sandy bottom. Access points for float fishing are usually the embankments near bridges, although access is sometimes unpredictable. Fishing is usually best when the water is falling. There are several access sites south of Hwy. 190. At Sam Houston Jones State Park there is access to the West Fork of the Calcasieu River, the Houston Rivers and Indian Bayou. From this area there is good access to Calcasieu Lake and on southward to the Gulf of Mexico. This beautiful system of waterways yields good catches of white perch, bass, bream, gou and catfish. | ||

| Cocodrie Lake is located approximately 8 miles north of Turkey Creek, La. This wooded lake is approximately 6,000 acres in size. It is a good fishing lake with several access points. | ||

Located 5 miles west of Boyce La., this 1,800 acre waterway offers good populations of largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish and redear sunfish. Access if by way of I-49 at the Boyce exit, then west on La. Hwy 1200. There are two boat ramps located on La. Hwy 1200. |

| This beautiful 2,200 acre impoundment is located 12 miles south of Alexandria, near Woodworth La. Access is off of I-49 at Hwy. 3265. Maintained by the State Office of Forestry this recreation area has excellent facilities, including cabins, camp sites, and picnic areas. Activities include hiking, swimming, and fishing. Fishing is good for crappie, bluegill and largemouth bass. There is access to a boat launch. | ||

| This 2,000 acre impoundment is located 10 miles west of Alexandria off of La. Hwy. 28. The U.S. Forest Service maintains the area. There are three concrete boat launches as well as camp sites, hiking trails and picnic areas. Fishing for largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill and redear sunfish is said to be good. | ||

| Lake Chicot
is located 7 miles north of Ville Platte La. This 1,700 acre lake is heavily
stocked with Florida largemouth bass and has produced lunkers over 15 lbs. Chicot is
designated as one of the state's certified quality lakes. Fishing for crappie,
bluegill and redear sunfish is said to be excellent on this beautiful cypress studded
lake. Anglers will enjoy the convenient boathouse, three boat launches, boat rentals as well as the many recreational facilities found at Chicot State Park. The nearby La. State Arboretum offers a glimpse at one of Louisiana's most beautiful woodland areas. |

| Lake Rodemacher is located one mile northeast of Boyce, and west of I-49. The lake is an open lake with both recreational boating and fishing opportunities. The facility is owned by CLECO and is operated under their rules and jurisdiction, and it is necessary to obtain a permit to use the lake. The lake serves as a cooling reservoir and only daytime fishing is allowed. Supporting excellent populations of largemouth bass, crappie, channel catfish and redear sunfish, this 3,000 acre lake is classified as a Quality lake and is managed to produce large bass. There are two boat ramps located on the west and south sides of the lake. | ||

The lake is partially wooded, with lots of dead timber in the upper end of the lake. Open water is located near the dam. Fishing for crappie, bluegill and redear sunfish is said to be excellent especially during the spring, early summer, and fall months. | ||
