TOP TEN SHOOTOUT--- results 10.16.04 The annual Top Ten Shootout was held on the Horseshoe-Black River Lake Complex with four Louisiana-based clubs and two Mississippi-based clubs each sending ten members with in boats. The water was quite muddy in the Horseshoe and bayou areas and also under 74 degrees. After fishing until 3p.m. , the champion was the Concordia Bass Club team with 33 keepers at 43.8 pounds led by the boats of Dix Houghton-Alonzo Walker (9 for 11.91) and James Mullins-Corey Houghton (8 for 10.99). Others CBCers with fish were John Bruce-Joe Houghton (10.85), J. D. Weeks-Jerry Houghton (5.93) and Mark Morace-Clyde Morace (4.2). Runnerup was the Brookhaven Bass Club team with 21 fish at 37.12 pounds led by the boats of Chris Wallace-Bobby Gates (9 for 14.42) and Doug Schexnayder-Corey Easley (7 for 9.23). Other BBCers with fish were David Knippers-Jimmy Roberts (5.29), Phillip Spring-Steven Guidry (4.8) and Jeff King-Tim Renfroe (3.38). Third place was the River City Bass Club team with 23 fish for 33.73 led by the boats of ken Huff-Bo Strahan with 5 for 9.32 and 3.97 lunker) and Dale Jamison-Buzz Craft with 5 for 8.28). Other RBCers with fish were David Cooper-Jimmy Cooper (7.54), Jimmy June-Corkey Ables (5.24) and Carroll Huff-Jimmy Hodges (3.31). Fourth place was the Kingfishers Bass Club team with 24 fish for 33.24 led by the boats of James Payne-Robert Foster (8 for 14.99-#1 boat) and DeWitt Wyatt-Lawrence Chapman (5 for 7.47). Other KBCers with fish were Robert Myles-Issac Jones (5.14), Andrew Rounds-Lee Davis (4.78) and Theodore Walker- Mac "gold blade" Tolliver (.86). Fifth place was the Borderline Bass Angler team with 19 fish for 21.35 led by the boats of Mike Essary-Thomas Freeman (6 for 5.99) and Keith Andrews-Terry Grant (4 for 4.88) Other BBAers with fish were Barry Chapman-Wayne Dolittle-(4.32), Bill Murray-Bobby Hall (3.81) and Sam Hudson-Ed Reeves (2.35). Sixth place was the Dixie Bass Club team with 15 fish for 20.10 led by the boats of Randy Pitre (3 for 5.96) and Ken McKnight-Henry Butler (5 for 5.34). Other DBCers with fish were Alan Brumfield-Nick Rushing (4.79), Jay Hamilton-Gary Waller (2.71) and Glen Foster-Paul Foster (1.30).
