Re: Bounty Hunters Bass Club April Tournament Date: Saturday April 10,2004 Location: Diversion Cannel Hilltop Marina The Bounty Hunters held their fourth tournament for 2004. The location was the Scenic Diversion Cannel out of Hill Top Marina. Tournament hours were safe daylight until 300pm. A beautiful cool morning greeted all the competitors when they arrived at the landing. Fisherman headed in all directions with some going as for as the Rigolets. Fisherman who ventured into the Petite Amit had competition with a large amount of bream fisherman. Boat traffic became very heavy after about 1000 in the morning. The wily old bass was hard to come by, but as usual someone always puts together a productive pattern. I would also like to thank Red Tanner for hitting the log that was located at the entrance to the Petite Amite. I just wish next time that he would go ahead and knock it down so the rest of us wouldn’t hit it.

The majority of the bass caught fell prey to spinner baits and jigs. The results of the tournament are as follows.

First Place: JIMMY TAYLOR 4 bass 6.76 lbs

Second Place: MITCH CABRENA 2 bass 4.12lbs

Third Place RANDY DUPUY 3 bass 4.06lbs

Fourth Place PERCY BUCHE 4 bass 4.04lbs

Fifth Place RAY ROBERTS 1 bass 1.58lbs

Big Bass MITCH CABRENA 2.39lbs

Total of 14 boats fished.

I would also like to advise all A.L.B.C members to please look at the Website, www.citizensforequalaccess.com. The site will give you easy access to what is going on in our state legislature regarding public use of waterways.

The Bounty Hunters would also like to offer our prayers and condolences to the wife and family of Donald Crochet. Donald passed away this month. Donald was a member of the Bounty Hunters and long time leader of District 5 for the A.L.B.C. Donald will be very much missed by all of us in the fishing community.
