Re: Bounty Hunters Bass Club March Tournament Date: Saturday March 6,2004 Location: Lake Concordia Louisiana Lake View Lodge The Bounty Hunters held their third tournament for 2004. The location was Lake View Lodge on beautiful Lake Concordia. Unlike the last two tournaments Mother Nature promised to give us a wonderful weekend. Tournament hours were safe daylight until 300pm. A beautiful cool morning greeted all the competitors when they arrived at the landing. A full moon had been shinning all night and thoughts of large bedding bass danced like sugarplums in the heads of all the competitors. The landing was little busy with Bryans Marine holding a big bass tournament the same day. Everyone got lunched without any problems. Now lets not talk about parking cars. My sweet wife proved that you could park an old Ford Truck at an 89-degree angle on the levy without it flipping over. Thanks to Eddie Roberts with Bryans Marine we were able to get the poor truck back on level ground.
The majority of the bass caught fell prey to soft plastics with the watermelon red glitter brush hog being the main color of the day. Water Temps ranged from 60 degrees at daybreak to 65 degrees by 200pm. Marty Blough with Brian Harris Marine was heard to have caught three nice bass on Chili Peppers. Not sure if that was the color are what? Red Tanner, Johnny Moore and myself worked hard to not catch any fish.
The results of the tournament are as follows.
First Place: Alva Anding 5 bass 12.90 lbs
Second Place: John Morris 5 bass 12.25lbs
Third Place Percy Bueche 5 bass 11.62lbs
Fourth Place Heath Goins 4 bass 10.68lbs
Fifth Place Randy Dupuy 5 bass 10.50lbs
Total of 16 boats fished.
I would also like to advise all A.L.B.C members that the Top 25 Tournament location and date has been changed. Anyone interested please contact Donald Crochet, 225-775-7527.
Lets not forget what a great Country we live in that allows us to participate in such activities as Bass Fishing. A special thanks to all the men and women that are serving our country now and in the past.
